Storage tips

  1. Try to use boxes of similar size so they are easier to stack.
  2. Label your boxes (on all sides) so you will be able to find items more easily.
  3. Make a list of the items you have in your unit(s) so you remember what you have in them.
  4. Leave a passage in the unit so you can access items in the back easier.
  5. Store items you will need sooner in the front of the unit.
  6. Take the legs off of tables if they are removable to create more space. Place the hardware in a plastic bag, label it, and tape to the underside of the furniture so you will not misplace them.
  7. Cover mattresses and furniture to protect them from possible dust and moisture.
  8. Treat leather items with a leather conditioner so they last longer.
  9. Empty the gas or other fuel from any power tool with a fuel tank before storing.
  10. Batteries must be unhooked from vehicles or any battery operated machine.
